Another Big Box Store

See this old photograph, take a look there?
Those are my grandparents, way back when.
They started that store
In Nineteen-oh-four,
And it's stayed in the family since then.
If you took them today, out by the highway,
They would never believe their own eyes.
Instead of green fields and trees
They would see there the reason
Their little business died.
Another big box store,
Just a couple more
And there you go...
It's been quiet on Down along Main Street
Since they closed the I.G.A...
But you can hear them talk
In the coffee shops
Of how you can't stand in progress's way.
CHORUS:
But if you listen, late in the evening
You can hear the pioneers cry with one voice
Another big box store, Just a couple more
And there you go.
Another big box store, just a couple more...
